Can you afford your electric bill?

It's seems everything is raising in price, gas, electricity, fast food meals, movies theatres to name a few. I am seriously considering reducing my bills with less expensive alternatives. The next car I buy will be a hybrid, quite going to fast food restaurants or stick to $1 menus, rent movies, and go solar. I could change my outdoor lighting to Solar Lights, and one day when we get a nice lawn I will get solar lighting. I definitely like that idea! Maybe I will get one of those wind mills too :o)

My baby girl :o)

I love my little 20 month old. When I sit here at the computer she loves to pile stuffed toys in my lap, blankets and what ever else she can find an the proceed to sit on top of the pile she made on my lap. It's so cute. I know she is trying to get my attention so I stop and play with her for a few minutes. Sometimes it's hard to have a baby climbing all over you when work is to be done but I love that she can do it. That's why I am home with my kids, so I can be here for them :o)

Cleaning my house :o(

I have been so busy I haven't had time to clean my house. The summer is going way too fast. School is going to start in a couple of weeks and I'm not ready :o(. So I will be working hard these next few weeks to get things done in my house and business.

What I have to say about credit cards.

Credit cards should never be an option for purchasing. I know not everyone agrees with me on this topic but I have very good reason for saying this. My husband and I have accumulated thousands of dollars in credit card debt. We bought into the lie that the world is being fed "You need and you need now". We go so fed up with our lives repeating the same pattern we decided to make some drastic changes. After reading Dave Ramsey's book "The Total Money Makeover"we realized we were being very foolish with our finances. We already knew we were being foolish we just didn't realize how foolish until we read his book. It has been over six months since we read his material and we haven't borrowed one cent since. I can stress these points enough - You don't need to borrow money to buy things. Save you money and then buy. If you don't have enough money to pay bills, sell something (a car, house, misc stuff) or get another job. Why do I say this? Can you imagine for a moment what you could do with all the money you are making in "payments". Some of us have car payments, average $300 a month or loan payments, credit cards, etc. If you had all that money on a monthly basis not going into a payment, might you be able to save for college, retirement, vacation? Our family has made some drastic changes because we finally realized they we were giving our money away to greed and childish wants. Make the choice to never borrow money again (unless it's a house with a 15 year loan). You will love yourself for it years from now when you can pay for you vacation to Europe with CASH.

That being said I now must give you a review of a web release from a credit card company:

"Conduct a free credit search, with no obligations whatsoever, that will leave you well-informed about the various terms and conditions of usage of each individual credit card, along with its online application link." quote from bizjournals.com web release. I will say no more. You know how I feel about credit cards.

Web Release News: Car Insurance Prices

Web Release News:

NORWICH UnionNorwich Union has launched a Short Term car insurance that I think is very interesting. This short term car insurance will cover your family/friends that borrow your car, or traveling with a number of people. I am not sure if I get this plan because I currently have insurance and it covers all of this already. You are charged a per day fee. I guess it's just extra insurance if you don't already have a good insurance plan. This company is located in England I believe so maybe the law don't require them having insurance like we do here in the US. I suppose if you just have liability insurance then this would be a nice offer. There website CarInsurance.com offers a online place for you to find great car insurance prices and well as buy a plan. I like that idea. If it's easy to do like they claim then it's sounds like a great place to find car insurance.

I should probably keep my self up to date by listening to the radio or reading an online news site but I don't. Oh well! Now I am getting paid to learn :o)

Web Release News:
Monex
Is silver more valuable than the dollar? According to the web release issued by Monex the paper dollar is worth less and less so it takes more and more of it to buy the same goods and services. Real money like gold and silver holds its value and green paper money does not. Is it true that most people think prices have gone up? I never really thought of it differently until I read this web release. According to the release "it is the value of the US dollar that has actually gone down." Monex offers it's experience, expertise and resources. They have been in business 1967 with over one hundred thousand investors. If you are thinking about investing in any precious metals consider Monex to help you.

New Things Happening!

I know I have changed the look of the homepage a few times now but I think it's getting better every time I do. I am finding great new resources that can help all us wahms advertise and get our name out there. Our newest edition to thesite is the blog and the new free advertising blog. The advertising blog is something I am very excited about because the members of this network can advertise their own business on the blog and have it appear on Moms Opportunity Network homepage. I hope everyone else will be as excited as I am about it. It's advertising in two places at once! I just love it!

Lets find our Joy!

Are you finding joy as a mom? Is it hard to be joyful while doing the dishes, washing laundry, scrubbing toilets? It is for me sometimes. A friend reminded me that if I didn't have these things to do then my life would be so different. If I didn't have loads of laundry that would mean I didn't have clothes. If I didn't have dishes to wash that would mean I might not have food. And let's not forget to mention the toilet :o). All of these responsibilites were given to us as a gift not a burden. I try to remember this everyday now.
So what does finding joy have to do with working at home? Well, a lot. If we don't have joy as individuals it effects every part of us. Our home suffers, our work suffers, our relationships suffer. Finding joy is a key to many things. My hope is that you can find the Joy you deserve.

The New Look!

I decided to change things a bit. One of the biggest changes would be this blog space. I figured out how to add my blog to my website. So now all my little blurs will be coming straight from my blog. This makes it easier on my because now I can be more actively posting on my blog plus adding my little blurbs to the web site. The other added benefit is that we can all look back through the achrives of blogs now. I will probably be changing the set of the home page more over the next couple of days. I am always trying to make the front page look more user friendly and inviting. Don't forget to visit our message boards. We have some great topics started plus you can advertise your business for free. Moms Opportunity Network Forum and My Mommy Time Discussion Forum. Make yourself at home and browse our site :o)

Finding Joy in ALL you are.

Wow! I have been busy. I guess I am not the best at blogging. Maybe I would be better if I didn't have so much to do. This is not a pitty party post, so lets change the subject. Things have been going very well. I have been encouraged by some wonderful ladies I have met through my website and forums. I am very happy with the growth and response. The theme for June was "Super Hero" month. I think it went well and all who participated had fun.
This month we are going to "Find joy in ALL we are". This topic actually came from the bible study I am going through. I really felt like it was an important subject to share with others. We are mom, wife, friend, sister and we are also much more. We can find joy in all of the things that make us who we are. If you are reading this and want to participate in our theme, joy our network and to be added to our mailing list. http://www.momsopnet.com

One more thing! I am almost done with my shopping website, Mona's Mall. Check it out if you need to shop at any of your favorite online stores - http://www.monasmall.com
