School Started

School started for my kids a few weeks ago and I still trying to adjust. Will it ever happen. I have been trying to work on a few new projects as well as maintain the old ones and I have to tell you I am not doing that well. I am hoping all this will work itself out real soon.

I got paid!!!!

Ok, I signed up for PayPerPost almost a month ago and I just got my first pay. I actually got this $5 pay from a referral and will be getting paid for my posts starting in a couple of days. I am so excited! I love getting paid to do blog advertising. I love payperpost! It's so easy to do what you enjoy and get paid for it. I am will probably be getting paid around $400 in September for the work I did this month. When I first signed up I for payperpost I was a little skeptical but thought the idea was great. Not until I met someone on a message board who had already gotten paid did I take it more seriously. She said in the post that she wished she was kicking herself for not taking more opportunities. So I decided to get serious with it and take opportunities more regularly. Now I am trying to do 3 (the limit) a day. I love that there are more offers lately. Just about everyday now there are new offers and I think that is great - people are getting payperpost fever.
With the $400 or so dollars I will be getting in September I plan on getting caught up on some bills but for the future months I will be having some fun. Thank you payperpost for giving this mom the opportunity to create a much needed income.

Kids Halloween Costumes

Halloween is just around the corner and good Halloween costumes is what we are all looking for. Yes, you could go to Walmart and buy the one everyone else has or better yet you could find a unique costume at oneofakindkid.com. I remember one year I made my son's Halloween costume. He was supposed to be a bear but it didn't turn out that great. It did stay together for that day but just barely. The idea was cute but I couldn't create it the way I pictured.

What is PayPerPost, really?

This is what I heard...
Payperpost is actually not a company that just wants you to put ads on blogs . Payperpost is actually a band of traveling snake thieves that go from door to do (or blog to blog) trying to find people to promote their evil plan to take over the world. I am not sure why they are snake thieves but that is what I heard. Not only will they steal your snake (if you have one) but they will force you to post blogs about the benefits of washing your feet with loofa pads. They are just sick minded midgets. Did I mention they are midgets?

Maybe, I shouldn't believe everything I hear.

Coupons

I have to say I used to be one of those coupon freaks. My local store used to accept double coupons and I was getting free things all the time. They stopped accepting double coupons and it made me so upset. But I guess I got enough free stuff from them. If you need lots of the same coupons, some people sell them on ebay.

What would I pay someone to do?

Payperpost.com has connected bloggers and advertisers. I get paid to review or create a buzz about certain products and services. So the question has been asked, "What would I pay someone to do?". Well, first I would pay someone to clean my house. I would prefer they just do the dishes and laundry. Oh, and I would love to pay someone to talk to my teenage daughter. Since I can't say anything that makes sense to her, it would be worth it to have a translator of the "teenager language". I would imagine this person would be fluent in the "rollin the eyes" dialect as well as the different tones of "Mommmmmm!" dialect. Well, if that never happens at least I still Get Paid For Blogging.

New Work Hours

I am going to be starting new work hours next week. My kids start school next week and since I homeschool I am going to set the day time aside for them and work at night. I know if I get on the computer in the day time even just to check my email I will be stuck in front of it for a while. So I decided not even to get online until school is over each day. I hope I can stick to this plan.

Voodoo Marketing Podcast

I recently visited the Voodoo Marketing Podcast website and was very interested in the marketing education they offer. The website is set up blog style which I felt was very nicely done and user friendly. Listening to the different marketing podcast interviews was also very easy to do and informative. I listend to a couple of the podcasts and actually learned some things. I would love to see interview directed more towards work at home moms or just women in general. There are thousands of work at home moms that could benefit from this type of service. Interviewing an actualy work at home mom would be best in my opinion. Other than that, I thought the site was great.

How did that happen so fast?

My baby girl is almost 2 years old - how did that happen?
It's 10am right now and I haven't been able to do any house work--- how did that happen?
My oldest daughter is a teenager but yesterday she was just a little girl - how did that go so fast?
I am 30 something and I still feel like 20 something (in my mind) - slow down time!

The Balancing Act

This balancing act that us moms have to do everyday can get very overwhelming. I am personally getting a little stressed. Trying hard not to but it still creeps up on my. School is starting next week, house is a mess, bills need to be paid, and so on. I think I need to pray more :o)

Working Hard

I had a conversation with a friend to day and we were talking about how sometimes we get so overwhelmed with life stuff but don't really stop to realize how many dffernent things are happening all at once. When we get to almost a nervous break down and then think "what's wrong with me", we don't always stop to realize how many things we are actually dealing with. My friend was talking about last year and how she had just had a baby, was homeschooling, had to move in the middle of the school year and almost fell apart. She then realized that so many transitional things where happening in her life at once. One of those things could be overwhelming but all of them can send you over the edge.
I felt this way when my uncle passed away and my husband and kids and I had to got to take care belongings. This in it's self was hard to to but only a few months before my uncle passed my father also passed away. So many emotions where running through my mind and at times I almost did loose it. I have to say that the reason I didn't completely loose it and my friend would say the same is that we had our God to lean on. He was with me through every difficult time and the same was true for my friend.
So remember to seen your situation as it is before you think there is something "wrong" with you.

Home Security

Have you ever been worried that someone would break into your home while you are asleep in bed? These thoughts sometime creep into my head in the middle of a sleepless night. I don't know of any mom who hasn't had these thoughts from time to time. There a few things though that can easy your mind when it comes to home security. Having a dog that barks when a strange person is near is always a good way to be warned. The ideal thing to have would be a large dog that could actually do some damage if needed. Sinced I have lived on my own I have always had a dog and I have always felt safer. My first dog while living on my own was a Doberman Pincher. She didn't need to be aggressive, and she wasn't, all she needed to be was a Doberman. People would walk far away from her. Even though she was the sweetest Pincher there was, nobody wanted to come close enough to find out.

I think this is neated idea, especially if you have a beach theme. There are many clever ideas out there for weddings these days. I have always appreciated when the nurses at my children pediatrics office wear cute and comfortable scrubs. I have seen all different kinds of scrubs over the years. Home Lighting

Ok, I am very thankful that we have a house that was built for us but there are some things I which could have been done differently. Many of the lights in our home are not easy to replace. We tried to replace the kitchen lightingand for some reason it did not work. Those bulbs where not cheap either. I would like to find some better light for our kitchen and bedrooms. All but 3 of our 6 fan lights are broken :o(. That was my fault though, I got them on clearance. I guess now I know why they were on clearance. Did I mention I had a good time at the horse show?

I am not sure if I mentioned this yet but I had a great time the other day at the horse show I went to. I learned so much about how I should be handling and training my horses. Pat Parelli is a real awesome trainer. His wife Linda was also a great inspiration. I hope I can be like them one day.
I worked with my horse today and she responded really well. I think I am going to be able to train her to do some great things.

Teenagers!!!

My oldest daughter is a beautiful 13 year old girl. She's smart and funny. She is also a teenager! I didn't know that having a teenager would be this challenging. I know it would be difficult but I just didn't know the extent of it. I hope I can survive the "I hate yous", and rolling of the eyes. I don't let her get away with this but she still does it. I hope the day will come one day when she says "Mom, I am sorry I was so difficult". She will probably be 35 before she does say these words :o(

Do you have a gun in your house?

Many people have guns in their homes for different reasons : protection or recreation. Either way it is always best to have the right type of storage for your guns to ensure it is not accessible to children or easily stolen. I especially want to encourage parents and grandparents to have safe storage of gun since many death each year are because of children getting a hold of them.
A relative of mine is a avid hunter and has a number of guns. He has 2 children under 10 2 teenagers. Not only that they often have several families over for parties and BBQ's. He has decided to be responisble with the guns he has purchase a large safe to hold his riffles and other hunting equiptment in. This gun safes makes me feel safe. I appreciate that he has made this choice and his main reason is protect his children.
Unfortunetly not all people follow good saftey while owning firearms. There is a little girl that is my sons age that shot herself in the stomach with a beebee gun. The beebee went through her and hit her spin. This girl has had to have months of therapy and still walks with a very noticable limp. All it would have took was to put this gun in a safe locked up place where she could not get to it. Below are a few pictures of gun safes.

My very own pair of Pink Boxing Gloves.

I was trying to think of what I would do with my very own pair of pink boxing gloves. I am not a boxer nor do I really like fighting but I just think it would be interesting to have my own pair. Here are a few things I "could" do with my own pair of pink boxing gloves:
Run around my neighborhood punching the air like Rocky.
Taking hot things out of the oven.
Put bandages around them and tell everyone I got stung by a bee.
Walk around the mall looking like a lunatic.

Ok, I think that maybe be all I would be able to do with a pair of pink boxing gloves. Now at this point you may think I have lost my mind talking about pink boxing gloves out of no where. When is there time for sleep?

I am very tired right now and want to go to sleep but have some work that still needs to be done. I am just trying to figure out how to juggle all the moms resposiblities I have. It's not always easy to do. I want to try and fit, working with my horses, in somewhere but I am having trouble with that. I don't know I guess it will all work out. Rambling is now over :o)

When my son was born he was beautiful 6lb 5oz once baby boy. He was so eager to see the world he didn't even wait for his doctor and the nurse ended up delivering him. A day or two after he was born we noticed his head was not round but very oblong. Well he is 10 now and his head has a nice shape but for a long time we where concerned about the shape of his head. I even asked the doctor about it when he was a few months old. Had some great Mommy Time.

I had 2 full days of Mommy Time this weekend. It was great. I really enjoy watching the horse training shows and being able to do something I really enjoy. I hope to be able to use the knowledge I have gained on my own horses.

Tapestry wall hangings.

I mentioned before I think that I love horses. I love the way they look, smell and feel. I am one of those born with horses on the mind. How do you feel about being paid for posting blogs?

You may have notice my blogging is a little random, with posts about life and then a ad for a product or service. Well, this all cam about when I found a company called Blogitive that pays people to use their blogs to review products or services. I was so excited to find out that not only could a blog, something I have grown to enjoy, but also get paid to do it. Then came about Payperpost which is also another way for me to making money posting on my blogs. I hope my posting don't bother people. It's just this is such an easy was to make $5 - $10. And if you are reading this you are probably a wahm and understand the importance every $5 or $10 is. Thanks for your understanding :o)

Keeping my car cool in the blazing sun.

How do you keep your car cool in the summer. By this I don't mean cool looking but cool in temperature while parked. I think most of us try to find a nice shaddy spot it is not always that easy. Someone usually snags the nice shaddy spot before you get to it and you are left with the blazing sun beating down on your car. My problem is I usually forget to shade the baby's carseat and the buckles on her seat get hot and I have to try and do a reverse Houdini to get her in without burning her. I am not always successful. So wouldn't it be nice if there was something to keep our cars cool without have to keep the car running and risk getting it stolen or running out of gas? What about using solar engery? Did you ever think that maybe the sun could actually help you cool your car? I didn't until I was introduced to an "As Seen on Tv" product called the Auto Cool Solar Car Fan. Some of you may have already heard of this product but it's news to mean. I think it's a great idea and if it works, it would be great for the temps it gets around here (114 degrees, yipes).

Drink plenty of water!

As I am shaking my finger at you to drink plenty of water I am also telling this to my self. The weather is still hot and many people are dying because of dehydration so don't be one of those people and drink lots of water :o)

Don't forget to have some Mommy Time.

As a mom, I think sometimes we forget to do things for ourselves. Some women may even think they are not supposed to have time for themselves and are total devoted to their children's needs. I think it is important to be devoted to our children's needs but it is just as or even more important to take care of ourselves first. This does not mean that a mom ought to always think of herself before her children. Taking care of you body, mind and soul is what makes us good mothers. If we are able to take a little time away from the kids to reflect or rejuvenate then we are doing a great service to our children. It takes a lot to be a mom. We have to be disciplinarians, cheerleaders, referees, counselors, cooks, social works and much more in just once title "Mom". If we fail to take a little alone time, rec time, hobby time for ourselves we can remind ourselves "Who we are". What I would like to see on Payperpost.

Payperpost seems to be a great opportunity for bloggers to make some money posting their blogs. Out of the choices of advertisers, I can usually find something that fits my blog or at least is something I can a least review or share my opinion about. I really like being able to choose out of a decent list of advertisers. However, my blog is title "A day and life of a work at home mom", and topics that would fit moms, work at home moms, stay at home moms, kids, babies would be much easier for me to post about. Topics about home, family life, family safety would also be nice to see. I would also personally like to see more neutral options. Though I only choose companies or topics I would endorse, I would also like to be able to give a pros and cons approach to some reviews. So my opinion is that to include more Family Friendly topics.http://www.payperpost.com

Work at Home Mom -Why is encouragement so important?

The day to day life of a work at home mom can be very interesting. Being mom all by itself can be very challenging and then adding "work at home" to the mix can be especially challenging. Is is my firm belief that we can all succeed with a buisness that brings us joy and passion. But even with that joy and passion, if we don't have encouragement your ability to continue on can be very difficult. Without encouragement from others you may end up loosing heart. If you don't already have a good support and encouraging friends/family then I highly recommend you find a group that can offer this to you. Payperpost -what is it?

I have recently come accross a website that is similar to blogitive. You can get paid to post reviews or opinions on certain products or services. It is a brand new and is at the beta stage of developement but I think it has great potential. Yes, I do get paid for posting this but I am not obligated to give a postive review. The interesting thing about this payperpost is that it is creating a lot of tension in the blogging world (blogoshpere). Many are outraged by it's exsistance. I honestly don't see what everyone is getting so upset about. The claim that this will cheapen blogging posts and you won't know who is blogging for money or not. This, I just don't understand. For a few years now (at least) affiliate marketing has been growing. Just about any website you go to whether it is one that is unknown or well-known you will find many affiliate links. For those websites to add these affiliate banners and links they had to choose the company that they are affiliated with. They don't just pop up on the site out of no where. I have seen ads like this on many blogs as well, professional and personal. These bloggers had to choose the companies they want to be affiliated with. So tell me, what is the difference between affiliate advertising and payperpost? A pay per post blogger must also choose who they want to be affiliated with. Are people as outraged at affiliate marketing as they are pay per posts? It seems not. Yet, we still have this controversy. People are worried that bloggers will be now motivated by money instead of the desire to have good content. Well, I am sorry to burst anyones bubble but many bloggers out there are already doing this through affiliates and Adsense. The difference is that I can post this review about PayPerPost and be gauranteed pay instead of hoping and wishing that someone will click on my affiliate or google ad. As a small fry in the huge world of the web, I still have to hope and wish. Someone who only gets a few hits here and there is not going to get very much money from affiliates or Adsense. Yet with something like this, the small fry that I am, I can actually make money just posting my opinion. I am not saying that you need to choose between affiliates, adsense and payperpost, but why not incorporate all of them in a way that does not offend the reader with over advertising. Not to say that there aren't alot of great website that offer great things with way too many advertisements. But I will continue to go to those sites because of there content. So I say all this to point out that PayPerPost is a great opportunity for small fries and big ones to get paid for their opinions. But I also have to mention that I just started with this company and have not gotten paid yet. My payment will be issued to me after this post has been here for 30 days.
